Séamus holds a BA (Mod) in Medicinal Chemistry from Trinity College Dublin. Seamus' studies covered the traditional fields of organic, inorganic and physical chemistry, and also placed particular emphasis on areas of pharmacology, biochemistry, microbiology and computational modelling relevant to drug design. He graduated in 2003, coming top of his class and was awarded the prestigious gold medal for his academic performance. Following his primary degree Séamus proceeded to research small molecule bifunctional organocatalysts and their application to asymmetric synthesis under the supervision of the School of Chemistry in Trinity College Dublin, and successfully completed his PhD at the end of 2006. His research was published in several distinguished peer reviewed journals, and his findings led him to deliver a number of presentations both in Ireland and abroad. During the course of his research, Séamus was also conferred with a BSc in Mathematics from Dublin Institute of Technology. Séamus' background enables him to specialise in the drafting of patents in the fields of chemistry, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and mathematics.
