Tomkins has been invited to participate in a seminar entitled “Design Thinking- Taking Innovation to a Higher Level” being hosted by Engineers Ireland on Wednesday, 27 February 2013. Aoife O’Neill, a Senior Associate at Tomkins, will speak on the role of IP in product innovation at the seminar, along with seven other speakers with varied backgrounds in technology design.

London Agreement on Patent Translations takes effect

The Irish Government has signed into effect the legislation for the London Agreement in Ireland.
The legislation takes effect from 3rd September 2012.
As a result, granted European Patents will no longer require a translation to take effect in Ireland.
